About
My name is Kait, and I’m a graduate of Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine. I came to Chinese Medicine through a longstanding interest in healing and the body’s ability to change when given the right support. I was drawn to Classical Chinese Medicine for its depth and the way it looks beyond isolated symptoms to the larger patterns affecting health.
Before studying Chinese medicine, I spent years working with my hands and was shaped by a background in interdisciplinary studies, craft, and work with children across a wide range of needs, including those on the autism spectrum. These experiences continue to influence the way I practice and have taught me to look closely, respect complexity, and meet each person as an individual.
Raised on Hatteras Island and later shaped by the Appalachian Mountains, I’ve long felt guided by the rhythms of nature. It informs the way I practice and reminds me that change often takes time.
I’m especially interested in the ways stress, trauma, and long-term imbalance can take shape in the body.

Follow-up appointments continue the work started in the initial visit. They allow time to check in, see what is changing, and adjust treatment as needed. -

Acupuncture

Moxibustion
Moxibustion, often called moxa, is a traditional therapy that uses the heat of dried mugwort near specific points on the body. It is used to warm, strengthen, and encourage movement when the body feels cold, depleted, or stuck.

Cupping
Cupping uses suction on the skin to increase circulation and release tension. It is often used for pain, tightness, muscle soreness, and areas where the body feels congested or restricted.

Gua Sha
Gua sha is a manual therapy that uses repeated strokes along the skin with a smooth-edged tool. It is used to promote circulation, release tension, and help move areas of tightness, pain, or stagnation.

Food Therapy
Food therapy is an approach within Chinese medicine that looks at how food can support health over time. Rather than focusing on strict rules, it considers how everyday eating can help strengthen, balance, and support the body.

Tui Na
Tui na uses hands-on techniques to work with the muscles, joints, and channels of the body. It may be used to relieve tension, improve circulation, support mobility, and help address patterns of pain.
